About 8 years ago, I left my job as a Primary School Teacher to enter the world of self employment.

• My own children turned out to be my inspiration! While on maternity leave with my eldest daughter I took her to a variety of baby classes, all very similar, and I thought – I can do this! I needed to carve out my niche in a heavily saturated market. My passion for Spanish (which began for me at school), my experience as a teacher, and my new “career” as a mum, all married together to create Rocket Lingo Spanish classes for children. This has morphed and changed over time and i've trained as a children's yoga teacher and also taken the bits i enjoy from being a teacher and made classes out of them!

• I wanted flexibility to work around my family, use my skills, get my teaching fix and give children the opportunity to learn a new language at a vital age. I believe that the earlier a child learns a language, wellbeing skills and literacy skills the easier they find it and the more successful they are.

• And then, life changed again - both my children have started school (where do the years go?) and I'm looking to expand my services. I offer online and in person classes for primary school aged children, both those in school and home-educated
